It’s a great opportunity of the Bureau for Technical Cooperation State Secretariat received Korea Junior Experts after handling over from the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia. This program is one of the assistance from Republic of Korea in term of development capacity building in Indonesia in order to boosting community development. Previously, terminology of Korea Junior Expert (KJE) is famous Korea Overseas Volunteer (KOV).

Initially was the commitment between both President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Mr. Roh Moo-Hyun as the President of the Republic of Korea stated in the Joint Declaration between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Korea on Strategic Partnership to Promote Friendship and Cooperation in the 21st Century, the 1st Phase Project of the Capacity Building for Public Officials for Government Innovation in Indonesia has successfully implemented during the 2007 to 2008 period.
