Purpose:
The main purpose of the training is to share and disseminate the capabilities on agricultural problem solving methodologies, by planning and increasing the agricultural engineering technology utilization, among participating countries.

In accordance with a decision taken at the Second Summit of the Developing – 8 (D-8) in Bangladesh on 1 – 2 March 1999, the Government of Indonesia will convene a “Joint Meeting of Experts and Decision Makers on Social Safety Nets” in Jakarta, on 13-17 August 1999. The meeting will be attended by experts and representatives from D-8 member countries : Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
